Our approach is guided, flexible and rooted in how you live. Whether you are furnishing a single room or refreshing several spaces, we work alongside you to bring clarity and cohesion to your home.
Step One
Furnishings Consultation
Every project begins with a paid consultation, either in person or via video call. This is a focused session that allows us to walk through your space, understand how it functions and talk through what feels important to you.
During the consultation we discuss layout, flow, lifestyle needs, budget expectations and priorities. It’s an opportunity to assess the space holistically and determine the most appropriate way forward.
Following the consultation, you will receive a short written summary outlining key observations, recommendations and suggested next steps.
Consultation fee: R1 200 – R1 800
A portion of the consultation fee (excluding travel) will be credited toward the Furnishing Design Fee if the design phase is confirmed within 14 days.
Step Two
Furnishings Design Fee
If you decide to proceed, we move into the furnishings design phase. This marks the beginning of the creative and planning work.
The design phase includes layout guidance, curated furniture, lighting, rug and décor selections, and the establishment of the overall visual direction for your space. It also covers proposal preparation and refinement as we work towards a clear, cohesive furnishing plan.
The furnishings design fee is determined by the scope of the project, influenced by the number of rooms and furniture items required.
Furnishings design fee: from R6 000 per space
This fee covers the creative and planning work and is separate from procurement and ordering.
Step Three
Furnishings Proposal and Design Guidance
Based on the agreed brief, we prepare a curated furnishings proposal that brings the space together both visually and practically.
This includes furniture layout guidance to ensure appropriate scale and flow, considered furniture and décor selections, and visual direction to communicate the intended look and feel of the space.
Rather than overwhelming you with endless options, we focus on thoughtful editing and refinement. Our aim is to simplify decision making and help you feel confident in each selection, while ensuring the space works as a cohesive whole.
Step Four
Procurement and Ordering
Once selections are approved, we manage the procurement process on your behalf.
This includes placing and tracking orders, liaising with suppliers, coordinating lead times and deliveries, and overseeing installation where applicable. Where possible, trade discounts are passed on to you.
A 10 percent procurement fee applies to items ordered through Epilogue Interiors. This fee covers sourcing validation, supplier coordination, order management and after sales support.
Delivery fees are charged by suppliers and passed through at cost. All delivery charges are confirmed prior to order placement.
Full payment is required before orders are placed.
Step Five
On Site Styling
Once your items have arrived, we can return to style the space and bring everything together.
This stage includes furniture placement, accessory and textile styling, and art placement. It’s often here that a space begins to feel settled, layered and complete.
On site styling is charged at R1 200 – R1 800 per hour. (dependant on whether professional installers are needed)
Kitchens and Bathrooms
For kitchens and bathrooms, Epilogue Interiors offers conceptual layout input, finish and fixture selection, and furnishing guidance. All technical design, drawings and construction documentation are undertaken by your appointed kitchen supplier, contractor or architect.
